Lee Ann Noel is a very versatile performer.  She is the
female drummer & singer in her own band...
"The Lee Ann Noel Band"...as well as enjoying her solo career and her
duo career with singing partner John Dixon.  John also performs in
"The Lee Ann Noel Band"...

Lee Ann started in the music business in her home state of Texas
at the early age of twelve.  For many years in a row...she was not only the
youngest member of the San Angelo, TX musicians
union...but also the youngest and only female drummer.  Then
president...Billy H. Aylor, stayed constantly in contact with
Lee Ann because he thought she was a special child.

The band director in Somerset, TX where Lee Ann attended junior high had a
country band and he hired Lee Ann for his weekend group.  Lee Ann had the
full support of her parents and they took her to all the gigs.  Lee Ann's dad
came from a musical background and so he was very proud of her!!
This was the very first band she'd performed with.
Willie Luedecke & The Drovers.

After 3 yrs. together...bass player Joe Hargus...and lead guitar Ronnie Greene
split off with Lee Ann to form The Rising Sun Band.  The band name was easy
to decide....since Lee Ann had thousands of requests to do her rendition of The
House of the Rising Sun.

Lee Ann was excited about this because they hired Mike Hawkins
to also play drums and double on brass instruments.  That gave Lee Ann the
opportunity to be up front more.  She would play 12-String guitar and/or
percussion instruments as well as sing.  Often times she'd fill in on bass guitar
while Joe would play a brass instrument.  And sometimes she and Mike would
play Dueling Drums.  Although the band was great...personality
clashes and jealous spouses soon destroyed them!

But Lee Ann wasted no time...She soon started performing with
Jack Rich and the Continental Cowboys....and later Jack changed
the name of the band to Choctaw...due to his Indian heritage.
Lee Ann played drums and sang with this group for more than 12
years...all the while jobbing out with some of the bigger names in the music
biz!  Charlie Walker, Willie Nelson, Darrell McCall,
The Wilburn Bros., Mel Street, Red Stegall, Jim Ed Brown...to name a few.

Lee Ann was a road musician for many years before settling down and having
her daughter.  She stayed home for a while...then had to start back playing
music again.  This time with a brand new band called "Hotspurs"...
Lee Ann wore spurs on her boots and jingled her way through several years
with the group....later reuniting with the same group but singing a different
tune.  This time the group was called "Living Waters"...and they did a mix of
contemporary & country christian music.

After going through a divorce, Lee Ann left Texas for a fresh start!  She
planned to start a blues band to be called Monkey Zunkel.  They were all fine
musicians...but the band never played a gig.  Once again..the jealousy from the
spouses was more than Lee Ann could tolerate!  My band members were cool
but too many wives trying to be the boss didn't work.

Lee Ann was looking for new band members...when she met someone and
remarried...only to find out later that he was also jealous...so to keep peace,
Lee Ann quit the music business for good..or so she thought.  For 13 years Lee
Ann didn't sing a note or even pick up her guitar or drumsticks.  Although she
was miserable...she tried to convince herself she was happy.  Once the
marriage turned sour...she divorced him...and decided to try the music business
again...and this time she promised her dad in Texas that she would not quit
again.  A true musician has to perform...it's in the blood!

So in June 2005 Lee Ann now residing in Florida...started frequenting the local
opry's.   After meeting up with fellow Texan Lou Rochelle...she was invited to
set in with a band...who later hired her.  She started playing drums and
singing in a band for the first time in 13 yrs.  That was Oct. 9, 2005...and
although Lee Ann was starting over in a new place...by the end of Nov. her
calendar was full.  Her determination and hard work has certainly paid off.

Lee Ann to date has 3 solo CD's to her credit...as well as a Christmas CD with
her singing partner...John Dixon.  At this writing, Lee Ann has several projects
in the works and is going full speed ahead.  She is the happiest she's been in
years...and stays busy writing, performing, producing and entertaining folks
with her deep bluesy voice, her sense of humor and her winning smile!
Come on out to a live concert and see for yourself!
This Texas gal can rock the house!
